The Princeton Velvetouch 3950 Series is my favorite! Don’t forget to get all the sizes you need. And don’t get the ones that say “Long” on them.
My next recommendation is the Princeton Heritage 4050 Series. Again, make sure you order all the sizes you need.
If you’re on a budget then my recommendation is the “Fine Touch” set from Hobby Lobby which includes 10 brushes for about $16.00.

I really enjoy using a mix of liquid and tube watercolors. These are my top professional brand picks. Yes, they come with a higher price tag but they last so much longer than student grade paints because they don’t contain as many if any fillers. The links below are sets, however you can also find individual colors as well in these brands.
